Dr. Sears receives Ph.D. in biochemistry at age 24 from Indiana University.

Dr. Sears starts one of the first biotechnology firms (Lipid Specialties) in the U.S. to develop drug-delivery systems for cancer drugs.

Nobel Prize in Medicine awarded for understanding role of eicosanoids in inflammation.

1992

Dr. Sears introduces first high-protein nutrition bar to alter hormonal responses to control inflammation.
