Dr. Barry Sears Dr. Sears Comments:

Other larger studies have demonstrated no differences in blood levels of omega-3 fatty acids coming from krill oil, ethyl esters, or triglycerides at equal EPA and DHA levels.  What counts is the ability of the fish oil to reduce the AA/EPA without delivering high levels of PCBs.

Dr. Barry Sears Dr. Sears Comments:

First, the article is wrong about the bio-availability of fish oil as nearly 100% is absorbed.  Second, the reason krill has so little taste is because it contains so little omega-3 fatty acids. Third, is a recent article that krill oil induces insulin resistance.  Finally, krill oil is dirty in PCBs compared to truly refined fish oil.
