A Call for a Low-Carb Diet That Embraces Fat.

People who avoid carbohydrates and eat more fat, even saturated fat, lose more body fat and have fewer cardiovascular risks than people who follow the low-fat diet that health authorities have favored for decades, a major new study shows.

I wish someone at the New York Times would actually read this study before writing about it. At the 12-month time point the “low-carb” diet was essentially the Zone Diet. The article title should have read “Effects of non-ketogeneic Zone Diet vs low-fat diet.”
