Brain Injury Awareness Improving, Richter Says

There is more education about and awareness of concussions than ever before. They are now viewed as potentially life-altering, even life-threatening injuries, to be treated with caution, not euphemized and dismissed as something minor. Knowledge of concussions is just beginning, but the culture "is going in the right direction," Richter said.

One of the problems of head injuries is knowing when the brain has sufficiently healed.  A potentially precise approach is to continually reduce the AA/EPA ratio to 1.5 to 3 with high-dose fish oil and then declare the person recovered when there is no subjective indications of a concussion injury for at least two weeks after reaching the necessary goal AA/EPA ratio.
