The calorie fallacy: ‘Information’ won’t stop obesity

It's Mike Bloomberg's world and we're all just trying to order a Big Mac in it. The Food and Drug Administration announced last week it's ordering all US chain restaurants (with at least 20 outlets) to print calorie counts on every item on their menus.

It’s not the calories but the hormonal balance of responses generated by the calories on the plate that determine whether you gain weight or lose weight.  If you have the right balance, you will not be hungry for the next five hours.  This  means you will be eating fewer calories throughout the day.  That’s how you lose weight and keep it off.
