The "BNA" test, which has just been approved by the FDA, is designed to show how the brain's networks are responding - essentially providing a heat map of the mind. "This is to a concussion what the MRI is to an ACL," said neurologist Jeffrey Kutcher.

Diagnostic tests are good, but treatment is better. High-dose fish oil is a very good treatment to reduce the neuroinflammation that remains after the initial concussion.
