Why I Eat Whole Grains

I agree that people should eat grains only if they feel incredibly lucky genetically.  Most of us aren’t.  That’s why I advocate eating a lot of non-starchy vegetables with limited amounts of fruits as long as they are balanced with low-fat protein at every meal. Hormonal responses always trump dietary philosophy.
