Eating refined carbs linked to depression in women

A diet high in refined carbs like white bread, snack foods and sugary soda isn't just bad for your waistline. New research suggests it could also lead to depression in post-menopausal women.

Why am I not surprised by this study?  I think if they went further, they would find an even stronger link between the combination of refined carbs and omega-6 fatty acids with depression.  This would be the consequence of increased arachidonic-acid formation.
