All good tips except that the benefits of nuts, whole grains and coffee come from the polyphenols, not the carbohydrates or caffeine.  Keep your carbs low by eating a lot of non-starchy vegetables and adding a little fruit for dessert will provide for more polyphenols.  Do that and ensure that you lower your intake of omega-6 and saturated fat and automatically become healthier by lowering inflammation.
