Nuts are great sources of polyphenols. Unfortunately, they are also great sources of fat that has to go somewhere once you consume it. If you are not burning it up, then you store it in your fat cells. When they get stuffed, then it goes to other cells and causes lipotoxicity, which is major contributor to diabetes.
