Improving Your Health Before Pregnancy May Help Prevent Childhood Obesity

It is about fetal programming.  Anything that reduces insulin resistance in the mother will have a significant effect on reducing epigenetic changes in the fetus that lead to obesity, diabetes, and heart disease in later life.
