Fish is a super food as it is free of toxins and provides enough omega-3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation. Unfortunately, neither is true. All fish contain mercury, PCBs, and other toxins. To eat enough fish to get the necessary amount of EPA and DHA to reduce inflammation would also bring in large amounts of toxins that are difficult to remove. The best compromise is to consume lean fish supplemented with highly purified EPA/DHA concentrates.
