New study supports link between ADHD and traumatic brain injury

A recent study of Canadian adults has found links between traumatic brain injury and a history of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, suggesting that adults with a history of brain injuries may benefit from improved screening for the behavioral disorder. Most of the persistent consequences of traumatic brain injury are symptoms shared with ADHD.

Individuals who have ADHD have a higher AA/EPA ratio than normal subjects.  This means they have more neuroinflammation, making them more susceptible to the long-term increased neuroinflammation generated by TBI.
