Omega-3 Fatty Acids May Stem Further Damage After Heart Attack

WEDNESDAY, March 4, 2015 (HealthDay News) -- High doses of omega-3 fatty acids may protect against further damage in heart attack patients, a preliminary study suggests. The research included 374 heart attack survivors who received standard treatment and took either a 4-gram prescription-only dose of omega-3 fatty acids each day or a placebo.

I have been saying this for 20 years.  Unfortunately, 4 grams of EPA and DHA per day is still not high-dose in my opinion.  High-dose is enough EPA and DHA to reduce the AA/EPA to between 1.5 and 3.
