Omega-3s May Help Ward Off Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

TUESDAY, July 15, 2014 (HealthDay News) -- A diet rich in omega-3 fatty acids may help cut your risk for the fatal neurodegenerative disease amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig's disease, a new study suggests. These fatty acids -- found most commonly in certain fish -- are known to help reduce inflammation and oxidative stress on cells.
