The first thing you have to have for a damaged brain to recover is putting out the neuroinflammatory fire followed by increasing access to adequate levels of omega-3 fatty acids to rebuilding the damaged networks.  Only then can you apply some of the described techniques to help the process.  But it is hard to build a brick house without any bricks no matter how many tools you have to work with.
