Previously unknown link between brain and immune system discovered

New research has shown a previously unknown direct connection between the brain and the immune system, which could have significant implications for the treatment of brain disorders like Alzheimer's disease, multiple sclerosis and autism. According to the Huffington Post, this discovery came from researchers working out of the University of Virginia's neuroscience department.
