Scientists turn white fat into obesity-fighting beige fat

Washington State University scientists have shown that berries, grapes and other fruits convert excess white fat into calorie-burning "beige" fat, providing new strategies for the prevention and treatment of obesity. In the study, mice were fed a high fat diet.

One of the secrets of high-dose polyphenols is their activation of AMP kinase.  However, they have to get into the blood to do that.  This is why delphinidins are about 400 times more potent than resveratrol.  The delphinidins in tissue culture are better activators of AMP kinase than resveratrol, and they are far better absorbed than resveratrol.
