Strawberry, cranberry polyphenols may improve insulin sensitivity in select populations

Improved insulin sensitivity was noted in overweight and obese non-diabetic, insulin-resistant human study participants after a 6-week dietary intervention with polyphenols. These findings, published in the British Journal of Nutrition, add to the building science of polyphenols' potential benefits in blood sugar management .

The dose used in this study was 333 mg of polyphenols. I recommend a minimum of 500 mg of polyphenols per day, and ideally 1500 mg of polyphenols per day.  Actually, it is not the amount of polyphenols you consume, but the levels of the polyphenols that actually enter into the blood.
