It should be the case against excess glucose. If you overload the system with glucose, especially coupled with excess omega-6 fatty acid consumption, you generate excess inflammation. This has been the cornerstone of my Zone technology for the past 20 years. The largest supply of glucose in the diet is grains and starches, not added sugar. Keep them all to a minimum by eating primarily vegetables and fruits as your carbohydrate source. Furthermore, the polyphenols in vegetables and fruits also eliminate any possible oxidative damage coming from either glucose or fructose.
