A Paleo diet only tells you what foods to avoid. The Zone Diet provides a blueprint on how you should balance those foods to get the best hormonal results. Not surprising, the leading academic scientists studying the Paleolithic diet reported in the British Journal of Nutrition in 2010 that their best estimate of the composition of the Paleolithic diet 15,000 years ago was essentially the PaleoZone with 40% of the carbohydrates coming from low-glycemic carbs, 30% from low-fat protein, and 30% from fat rich in omega-3 fatty acids. That’s the same balance that you find in the Zone Diet.
