Cardiomyopathy

Q: First of all, I would like to thank you for helping people from all over the world like me to live better and longer. I am 30 years old, and I have been diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (apparently it is congenital). I am currently taking Coreg CR 40 mg, daily (beta blocker). I read in one of your books that this type of medication affects insulin levels, regardless of following your diet. I also noticed that one of your books states that it is not suggested to take the fish supplements when insulin levels are not controlled. Should I still take the fish oil supplements taking into account that my insulin may not be controlled due to the beta blocker?
A: The Zone Diet will help reduce the side effects of the beta blocker. By controlling insulin, the benefits of the fish oil will be enhanced.
