Endurance training

Q: I am an endurance athlete training for my second marathon. Will eating in the Zone provide me with sufficient energy for those long practices? Note: I will be consuming energy gels throughout the runs.

One of world's greatest ultra-marathoners is a long-time Zone advocate. Make sure you take some protein with those carbohydrate gels to maintain a better balance of insulin during your run.
