Churg-Strauss syndrome

Last Updated Nov 2007

Q: I've recently been diagnosed with CSS - Churg-Strauss syndrome at Johns Hopkins. I would like to know what dosage you would recommend of the EicoRx. I ordered it on autoship today?

A: Churg-Strauss Syndrome is a condition that results in inflammation of the vascular system. The primary drug treatment is Prednisone. Its only mode of action is the reaction of inflammatory eicosanoids. The Zone Diet will decrease the building blocks of those eicosanoids, and EPA will dilute their presence in the target cells. The amount of EPA and DHA I would recommend per day is about 7.5 grams. This would be about eight capsules of EicoRx. Be sure to regularly fill out the Eicosanoid Status Report, which is located under Resources on this Web site, to prevent any potential spillover problem.
