Screaming pain
Q: I went to see the doctor regarding unusual and mostly severe random pain in my hands and arms. It appeared to be the tissue with slight swelling. I had swelling in my legs and feet (no pain) for years and attributed it to working long hours on my feet as a flight attendant. The pain became incapacitating and after many tests and X-rays, no cause was found. I have had autoimmune thyroiditis for 16 years, and they discovered it had changed to hyper after an iodine scan indicated Graves’ disease. After an ultrasound the doctor suggested removal of the gland since there were nodules too numerous to count with many over 2cm. Then on to a rheumatologist since my ANA indicated possible lupus (my sister has it). DNA testing showed negative, and all three doctors could not connect my pain to anything. I started research on my own which led me to you. After three days on the Zone, my pain is COMPLETELY GONE! I'm still in shock and thank you from the bottom of my heart. I do have one question that I hope you can answer. Late on the third day I developed severe aching pain from my knees down. I elevated my legs and it diminished somewhat. The pain coincidently covered the entire area that my legs and feet are usually swollen. Could that be a sort of reaction to the elevated omega-3s? My legs and feet look normal for the first time in years. I slept with my legs elevated and woke in the morning pain free.
A: I would actually increase the levels of EPA and DHA and add a trace of GLA (no more than 1-2 capsules per day of EicoRx.)
