Menopause

Last Updated Sep 2007

Q: I am a 53-year-old Australian living in Jamaica and desperately trying to lose weight. I have always been fit and active, but as I am starting to go through menopause, nothing seems to budge. My exercise routine is up and down, but even when it's up to two hours a day, still nothing moves. Help!

A: As you go through menopause, estrogen levels drop and insulin levels begin to rise, hence the lack of loss of body fat. Following the Zone Diet is a clinically proven way to reduce the increase of insulin that normally comes from menopause. Within a few days, you will notice that your exercise program is working again.
