Q: My wife has been suffering from a mysterious shoulder condition. I read an article today regarding “Frozen Shoulder.” The symptoms fit her to a T. She takes one OmegaRx per day. Since this seems to be an inflammation problem, I believe that she should greatly increase her OmegaRx. Do you have any guidelines?
A: I would recommend starting with 12 capsules of OmegaRx and then after a month start replacing one capsule of OmegaRx with one capsule of EicoRx per day so that she finally ends up at about a 3:1 ratio of OmegaRx to EicoRx, which will take about four months. The extra GLA in the EicoRx will increase building anti-inflammatory eicosanoids needed to repair the damage, whereas the OmegaRx reduces the inflammation caused by the damage. Refer to the Eicosanoid Status Report found under Resources here on Drsears.com.
