Trigeminal neuralgia

Trigeminal neuralgia

Q: I attended your presentation on Saturday, Feb. 16, at IIN. I would like to know what you recommend to support the nervous system.  I am otherwise very healthy, slim and fit.  I take 5HTP and was recommended extra B1, p-5-p and magnesium orotate.  I noticed that when I do a strenuous cardio workout, my nerve pain decreases or disappears for an hour or so.  After your talk I have increased my fish oil to 2g/day. I always have some nerve pain (3-5 level) but have not had a level 8-10 in a few years.  I attribute that to my lifestyle.

A: Trigeminal neuralgia is an exceptionally painful condition. There is some indication that it is also inflammation driven. Increasing your fish oil along with your existing lifestyle should continue to reduce the severity of this condition.
