I would  definitively take out the whole grains (due to a high glycemic index that will increase insulin secretion) and vegetable oils (high in omega-6 fatty acids) from the recommended foods.  When those two dietary items combine, you will increase arachidonic acid formation that is powerful driver of heart disease.
