Dietary Supplements During Cancer Treatment: Yes or No?

Should you take dietary supplements during active cancer treatment? Some oncologists say no: Certain nutritional supplements can interfere with chemotherapy, making treatments less effective or side effects worse. Other doctors and health care providers support the use of specific supplements, suggesting they may protect against radiation or other treatment effects like mouth sores, and perhaps even possess cancer-fighting properties.

The research quoted in the article from JAMA Oncology is highly flawed.  The vast bulk of literature indicates that fish oil is synergistic with radiation and chemotherapy.
