According to the American Diabetes Association, approximately 110 million Americans have either pre-diabetes (86 million) or diabetes (26 million).  Once you have pre-diabetes, you have about 15-20 years before you become diabetic.  After you have diabetes, you are 3-4 times more likely to get a heart attack and twice as likely to develop Alzheimer’s.  Your best “drug” to reverse all of these is an anti-inflammatory diet.
